…and after all the small patches for my new needle books showing flowers done in Klosterstich technique, I again have a 14th century inspired fleur-de-lis Klosterstich embroidery for you. With all this small embroidered patches lying before me, I really think that I should go on and transform them into some nice needle books now. They will be a beautiful addition for my “Travel & Largesse Fund”. My pile of U.F.O.s* is already big enough and doesn’t need any further addition. Therefore – where are my leftover wool fabrics, threads and needles?! *lol* 😉 But first things first – here a picture of my most recent fleur-de-lis in Klosterstich embroidery for you and some additional progress pictures – enjoy! 😀

My recent 4day trip to Barcelona as well as the postings about my favorite Barcelona photos were a nice possibility to take a short break from my ongoing embroidery projects. This is one of my favorite ways to restore my energy and inspiration for new projects and postings. But now it is definitely time to get back to my embroidery projects and my embroidery related postings with renewed power. About 2 years ago, during my very first stay in the states, I gave away some hand embroidered needle books as gifts to interesting people which I met on my journey. I was told that this needle books were highly appreciated and became treasured and loved items of their owners. Well, what shall I say, this kind of message is always a great balm for the soul of an artisan. 🙂
