Again new progress concerning my “12th century embroidery – Saint Michael and the Dragon“. 😀
Wooohooo! I am very happy to tell that I just finished the embroidery of Saint Michaels hand and sleeve. *happydance*
It feels so great that my handsome 12th century archangel – St Michael – is nearly finished now. I just have to fill some very small sections but they won’t make a big difference concerning the whole appearance… Such a pretty looking archangel… 🙂
…and here the picture of my new progress for you – enjoy! 😀
Now most of the details are already embroidered and finished. I only have one small part of the dragons tail left as well as the dots on Saint Michaels shield and the small “fabric backside” sections at the bottom of his cloak and a lot of background and border to fill…
Working at the background and the border is not as exciting as working at the details but I can and I will definitely do it. Can you believe it? …after all this hours the embroidery is nearly finished! Wooohooooo! Endspurt! 😀
…and another close up picture of my new Split Stitch progress for you. Here you can see a detailed picture of the hand before I finished the sleeve:
…and here a picture of the hand with the finished sleeve:
Now, after finishing Saint Michaels hand and sleeve, I can head to the last empty sections and details… Endspurt! *wooohooo* 😀
