…and now something for my friends who live in the states, Australia, … and never have been to Vienna – some pictures for you taken at one of my favorite places here in Vienna – the “Konditorei” Groissböck – but well, you can also call it a sweet heaven. 😀
Something we are really proud of here in Vienna are the countless cakes and other “Mehlspeisen” you can get here. Well, a good coffee and a great piece of “Torte” – an awesome combination. 😉
They are sooooooo great – I am sure that I either have to learn how to bake “Torten” like this in the future for myself or I will miss them like crazy as soon as I move to the states. *lol*

“Krapfen” – one of my 2 favorites – filled with apricot jam (Marillenmarmelade) or vanilla cream… *sigh* yummy… I think you can say that are our kind of doughnuts 😉
I loved them when I was a kid and I still love them – this here are lovely, sweet childhood memories for me.
…and two other really addictive pieces of “Torte” – Trüffeltorte (left) and “Nusstorte” (right) …oh my, I love them all… *lol* …and I got me one piece of this really nice and not too sweet “Trüffeltorte”… *sigh*
…well, it seems that “Fasching” (carnival) is not over yet – aren’t they cute?! 😀
Well, I guess only a person who already had a really great cake in the past can understand this kind of addiction. Here it is even more than just a normal addiction – it’s a part of the tradition here. Like having a good coffee – normally a “Melange” – and a nice piece of cake and chatting with friends or just while reading a book or newspaper. This slow and delightful sweet moments of life where you just take time for yourself and/or your friends and enjoy a great piece of “Torte” and a good coffee.
